Nurse came by and put in the pain pump. Ron seems to be resting. I feel so very bad for him and for myself & his other loved ones. I know the pain meds will probably make him sleep much of the time.
I HATE it!
Gonna call it a night and try to get some rest.

I can tell by the number of responses you have many, many friends close by. I am too far away to be able to help as far as errands, etc but always know I am here, day or night, if I can be of ANY help even if it's just an ear to listen. Rest when you can and though Ron is "resting" continue to talk to him as you normally would. You are his everything at this point, eyes, ears, touch, smell, etc. Describe the weather, the birds singing, flowers in bloom, the warmth of the sun on your skin, everything he is not able to sense but you know he really loves.
You probably already know all this with you work but I believe people going through this end of life process continue to hear all we say and it comforts them.
