Social Security Disability-Fast Track Using Compassionate Allowance Law

If your illness is on the Compassionate Allowance List on this site, it is now a federal law that your application for Social Security Disability benefits be processed using the "Fast Track System"...without a long wait.

Even after you are approved, you will still have to wait 5 months for your first check, but it should be back dated to your date of approval and you will be paid for the waiting time. It has been our experience, that the best method to make application is in person--completely equipped with medical reports stating your condition, doctors names/addresses. Search the Social Security site to get a list of requirements before you go to the SS office. It will make the process much FASTER!

Ron was approved in only 1 day--He was prepared as outlined above.

Just began the CAL program today. Filled out everything online and bringing all my records to SSA tomorrow. I was diagnosed 10 months ago and didn't even think of applying for SSDI until this week realized even after my surgery I'm still going to be suffering from this. I hope our approval goes as well as yours!
