It is difficult to know whether or not Ron is improving or declining more so. He was able to eat a little today, but not much. He was able to sit on the deck for a bit, but became exhausted. Later, he wanted me to run by the library for him. Then, he did not have energy to enjoy the books that he selected. The rest of Arkansas is burning up but Ron is freezing. I am running the air some of the time & Ron uses an electric blanket when the air is on. Sometimes, I turn the air off and he still uses the electric blanket. The doctor says Ron's internal temperature does not work--whatever that means. Guess it does not matter what it means because it will not change the situation. I am already trying to keep him as comfortable as possible. This includes spending as much time as possible with him without "hoovering" over him.
I bought a wireless doorbell so Ron could easily summons me if I am out of the room. It seems to be working great.
Ron has really enjoyed all of the cards. The personal notes have brought smiles. Getting the mail is one of the day's highlights. Thanks so much for thinking of him in this manner. Most of all, thank you for continuing to pray for Ron and me.
Love,
Joyce
P.S. The picture of Ron was taken on Father's Day, 2006. Our grandkids call him Pepi.
