UPDATE Friday, 9:00 p.m. June 17, 2011
Hey everyone,
The Home Health nurse came to evaluate Ron today. Now, if he feels like he needs to go to ER, we can call the Home Health nurse first and perhaps she can do a home visit and prevent us from going to ER. The nurse can also do blood draws and take it to the hospital lab for processing. This will prevent us from having to travel to get it done. It also helps that one of the nurses is a friend of ours who lives a couple of streets over.
Speaking of nurses, Ron has an angel of a nurse at our local hospital. She usually gives him a special shot every two weeks. He has met one of her two children. Both of them have started coloring pictures and writing get well notes to him. Their nurse mom delivers them when Ron goes to the hospital. Isn't it awesome how God can use the smallest things or the smallest people to bless a person's heart? When he got the first pictures, I was so touched that I cried.
Ron is a bit better today. He ate a lite breakfast & a shake this afternoon. That's a start.
Tonight, he wanted to get out for a bit, so we drove around for a few minutes. There was a beautiful sunset up or way.
Hopefully, he will feel like going to our local Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast in the morning.
Love to each of you,
Joyce

It is really nice that the kindness of these two youngsters & their mother was so kind & thoughtful that it touched you in this way Joyce. I know that this was also a meaningful gesture for Ron as well.
I now see that the time of posts on this blog is Pacific Time not Central standard time. I posted the above comment at 10:42 CST but it shows at 8:42. I am guessing your post at 8:02 was actually 10:02PM CST.
I am very glad that you are seeking help with Ron's care exhibited most recently by the home nurses. Glad that one is a neighbor known to you.
Seeking whatever help may be available top you shows great wisdom on your part. I am really glad that you & Ron got to share that beautiful sunset together this evening. Love to you BOTH, Dale
I hope less trips equals more rest.
Any travel, even on vacation, seems to be exhausting. So without these trips I hope Ron gains more strength. Love you both.
Sis
