UPDATE
Wed...11/24/2010
Ron has a doctor's appointment this morning. He did not get any sleep last night. We are packing a bag incase the doctor puts him back in the hospital.
Ron is home from spending two nights (11/17/2010 & 11/18/2010) in our local hospital here in Clinton. He was suffering from dehydration so the treatment was "pumping IV Fluid" into him for a couple of days. The type tumors that he has are ones that produce a lot of serotonin which in turn keeps him with pretty loose stools continous. He is at high risk for chronic dehydration because of his declining health. The good news is that doctors did a kidney functioning test, and it has now been confirmed that the kidneys are still working properly.
Ron also saw his gastroendrologist (sp) --last week and and the doctor said the problem with rectal area is not tumor related but it is hemmorids. Still a problem to deal with--but we are very thankful it was not more tumors.
The oncology appointment had to be recheduled due to the hospital stay. We will get that appointment date by mail soon. The infusion for the bone mets also had to be rescheduled & is forthcoming by mail.
We go back to Ron's primary doctor on Wed. 11/27/2010 for follow-up and labs.
Ron got discharged from the hospital on 11/19/2010. Today is Sunday, 11/21/2010...Although Ron is much better than when he first went into the hospital, he is continuing to have serious health concerns, loss of weight, low energy. and overall feeling bad.
Thank you all for your continued prayers. We value your friendship.
Love,
Joyce
